They said that I am free to do that but reminded me they would mark me on the credit database and engage a debt collection agency to recover the outstanding amount. WHAT A CORPORATE BULLY. Ripping me off and then threatening to ruin my credit rating that would make it difficult to obtain personal and home loans as well as essential service connection should I move my place of residence. As I say somewhere else in this blog, it is not worth the stress. You have to pay them all the money it seems, you signed the contract that is all in their favour, really, who reads all of that fine print, the retail stores need a three standard issue magnifying glass. There is nothing in the contract that says they must uphold their end of the deal by providing a reliable service a well a broadband speeds, otherwise I would already have my refund.

I guess they like the usb modems because they can fit their software of it's virtual drive rather than giving you a cd, more money saved. I guess this is why they dropped the bus card style modems which would be the superior way to interface the the computer directly into the bus, not some cave man usb device.

Where Is the 3 Customer Care Call Cantre ?

They have a chain of retail stores that I guess are privately owned and that's about it. I guess there is a marketing department somewhere but do not for one second image a building full of employees ready to answer your calls to three customer care. Customer care has been farmed out to a call centre in India. So much for Three Mobile Broadband supporting the country of it's customers ! You MAY but most certainly WILL have communication problems with English articulation and comprehension.

Three Australia Mobile Stores Are Reatil Only

Chances are you probably purchased your mobile broadband over the net. Do you think you can get a three store to do a software update to it ? NO. Most of the stores displaying Three signage and advertising are just RETAIL centres. Buy it from them and they will tell you to call 3 customer care who may send you a mailing bag to get the item shipped. Be nice and they may call them for you but you will have to pass all your details over the phone anyway, so what's the point, you are doing all of the work. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THREE CUSTOMER CARE TELLING YOU TO TAKE IT TO A CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTRE, THEY MAY GIVE YOU A LIST OF THESE CENTRES BUT THEY DO NOT EXISTS. THESE DO NOT EXISTS. THERE IS ONLY ONE THAT I KNOW OF IN AUSTRALIA, POSSIBLY THERE COULD BE ONE PER STATE. A THREE STORE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SERVICE CENTRE TOLD ME THAT THERE ARE NO MORE SERVICE CENTRES ALL OVER AUSTRALIA AND OFFERED TO SEND THE ITEM TO SERVICE CENTRE IN THE CBD OF THEIR STATE. They told me that customer care had misinformed me by saying they could reload the software in my mobile modem. All that is needed to do this is a Windows based PC, so having a Mac I thought this would be easy for a three store to do. No they could not do it. So I took it to another Three retail store and the people there were kind enough to have a try. The upadte failed with an error.

My connection and several other that I know of constantly have their connection terminated at least 5 times a day, and that's on a good day. Complain to three if you will, they will give you the speed test run around and even ask you to test your connection from another location. Easier if you have a portable computer, just put it in your car and drive to a car park somewhere and try it out. Whenever something gets stuck in a download, be it software, a web page or jpeg on your screen, when it gets stuck the natural reaction is to cancel it and restart the operation. I can not even read my mail in one attemp. I get a message saying to click on something to use standard html, some kind of bare bones version because the connection is so slow. They are really playing with words when they say Boradband, they should call it SnalBand or WirelessDialUp. There was a time when it was fast but it is constantly slowing down. There were fast times such as 3.00am on a Sunday through to Thursday but the network is overloaded and too many users have found that great time slot that is not anymore. This is not acceptable for normal surfing but even more frustrating when one is trying to run an online business being forced to wait until those times to reply to customers.
